AutoGlym

Well I finally broke down and bought the wax today at CT. The price with tax was 52.49 which is getting up there in price. I know Meguires Classic Gold is 19.99 NXT2.0 is 29.99 so I am climbing the ladder.

Has anyone used it or know of anyone that has used it and what were the results? I have 201 coats on the Snake so I am not sure if I will notice a big difference but what the hay.

Oh will I have any problems with the interaction between the 2.0 and AutoGlym? Thanks for any replies guys and gals.

What does Zaino run per bottle?

This one's for you SNAKEBITE:"For me it's all about the wax/polish to get my car to slid through the atmosphere with a lower drag co efficient tehehe "
Im with you as well, in my case tho I count on raw displacement to slide through atmosphere, oh I don't know, say 900 hp 800 TQ would be a good starting point teehee!
Seriously tho,YOU MUST, and I insist go to Canadian Tire and get yourself some "Auto Glym" high definition wax... hands down, best wax you have ever used, what it does to paint is miraculous, literally outta this world, finish waxing the car... and I dare ya, aim a water hose at it, turn it on and see the insane beading happening, just runs right off!
It IS impossible to place a micro towel on the car, it will end up on the floor! Dead easy to apply too, dampen the supplied sponge, swirl it inside the wax container to pick up some wax, apply to paint (cool to the touch) let cure 15 minutes, use a buffing micro fiber lightly to remove excess haze, THEN use a new clean micro fiber to bring out the shine, get ready to be beyond dazzled, seriously one of the best all time waxes I have ever used, and I have used them all!
Comes in a slick packaged black box, inside there is a white smallish jar (4"x 3 1/2" with a red screw on top,you get two premium application sponges (bagged) and a blue micro fiber cloth.
Here in Toronto they retail it around $45... but really worth every cent,it's a british product.
best part is, it does NOT wash off and continues to protect.
The slickness of the paint is what's so different about this product from all others I have ever used.
You have my full permission to ridicule me on this forum if you do not find this to be the best you have ever used.
Seriously, before winter sets it,give the ride a good wash ( never use circular motion when washing a car, the fine grit on the paint combined with your wash mitten and pressure of your hand is what creates "swirls") always wash the car in linear motion following the body's flow.I personally use the hose to wet the car down first and reduce grit on the paint, then use a 5 gallon pail with clean soapy water to "rinse" the mitt before the next section.
I jet spray each section to remove all traces of soap, then move on to the next section. As you wash, keep the car's just washed sections wet by spraying them, which will stop the water calcium from "grabbing" to the paint surface.
Personally I use a synthetic shammy over a pig skin real shammy, real ones tend to "break down" and leave a ton of specks all over the paint... once dry, apply a thin layer of Auto Glym and you're golden...Keep this wax off any trim, and rubber moulding, but DO apply it over your glass, you'll love the end result, especially when it rains!!!

Couple of things this dude messed up on:
he complains about it being hard to remove, wrong! dead easy!
he complains bout the applicator and how he nearly drops it, christ, get a grip man!
He applies it in circular motion, good, but does not give it sufficient time to cure which is why it was harder for him to remove!
he states it took him 4 hrs, bull waxing the stang should not take longer than an hour, give and take, you can do a through wash in 45 minutes including drying.
I did a full sized Camaro, a G8 ( massive car) and my mustang and I used LESS than what he used, maybe he used a trowel to apply it LOL
There you have it, the secret to a perfect wax job
Cheers

I applied the first coat last night on the Hemi and here are my impressions (keep in mind I am /crazy)

I found that applying the wax was just a tad harder/tougher than Meguires
The good news is that is the only bad news.
This morning in the dark the red paint popped (more than usual) in the dark
The paint looked like candy and you could reach in and punch yourself to boot.
The wax came off just like 2.0 ie no problem
The Hemi had 1 coat of polish and 9 coats of 2.0 and wow what a difference in depth of shine.
In an hour I will head to the garage to apply the first coat (202nd total) on the Snake.
Oh the guy that posted a link is a tard as I will get at least 10 coats but as I stated I am a pro so no excess globs applied.
I figure at worst with tax it will cost 5.00 per coat so well worth it.
I did notice when walking close to the truck I was getting static electricity which was weird

Thanks for your impressions and I agree 100% after just 1 coat, THIS STUFF IS MAGIC!

Thanks for the review on it
I've been debating getting it, but had a near new bottle of Gold Class in my arsenal, so couldn't justify getting another wax lol.
Will have to get this in the spring for the new ride

Hey snakebite, before you apply any more wax, go over the whole car with a clay bar... you will NOT believe what a massive improvement to the paint you'll get man.
Clay bar, used properly will "lift and remove" all sorts of crap; microscopic tree sap, airborne pollutants ect ect...
once you do a section and have washed it and dried it, just run your hand right over it... it feels like cleaned glass, perfectly smoooooth with no bumps in it.
Once you clay bared it, wash it properly dry it THEN apply auto Glym,if you have an orbital polisher all the better, just make sure you use a new all wool hood, light pressure and go over the whole car at medium speed.
The shine and clarity you'll get will astound you, guaranteed!

Done and done. You could ask the mustang crowd about my 500 and its slippery feel. I have tossed a towel on the hood to have it slid off to the ground=crap=new towel

Just like to add that I really like the Autoglym, I detailed just before it went into hibernation, it came out great, slick and very shiny.. I was using Meguiars yellow #21 but have made the switch! I also like Autoglym's line of Leather Cleaner and Balm.. Gonna try the Rapid Detailer come spring, I currently use Surf City Detailer it's pretty good!

I'll have to try this stuff out in the spring. I'm not looking forward to the waxing experience with racing stripes. Hmmm I think there is a guy in Calgary with a GT500 that really likes this kind of stuff. Might be worth the drive. LOL.
