Clay bar and Blue Magic Metal Polish

After being impressed with the results of the clay bar on the Mustang, hubby decided to tackle the big truck. The truck is a 2007 International with almost 1 million miles. From there he continued with polishing all the shiny metal on the truck with metal polish.

Here are some pics of the truck....

I'm with Snakebite - must take about a week of polishing to get things looking that good. Someone call in the scaffold crew to help the lady down from the roof !!! lol

My luck I would take a header and that would finish me off bwah. If I owned that truck I would only drive it on nice days.

Looks sweet!! I couldn't imagine spending that much time detailing on a vehicle that big!! :?

Thanks guys! I thought he was a bit ambitious when he suggested using the clay bar, but it actually took less time than taking the polishing wheel to it.We only spent the day on it but didn't get to the aluminum rims. That's a messy job for sure and doesn't last very long.

Sad part is it looks good heading out the driveway at the beginning of the week, but dirty again when he gets home.

Anyone know of a good finishing product that keeps the aluminum shiny for longer?

.

He just painted them last year. Trying to keep the tanks shiny was quite frustrating. Not sure if it was the tanks, the polish products or just too much road dirt that made it so difficult.

LOL....that's why the hood is open, I climbed up by stepping on the side air filter cans, engine and I think part of the turbo intake? Amazing how durable it is in there.
