Do you think maybe we get screwed on the price of cleaning supplies?

I had to go to Detroit to pick up an intake cover for the Pony,so I thought I would pick up a couple of bottles of Meguiars ultimate Wash because it was listed on the Oreilly's site at $10.99 a bottle compared to $21.99 at Canadian Tire.As luck would have it,I missed the O'reilly's and happened upon an Autozone and they had all Meguiars Ultimate products $3.00 off,at $7.99 a bottle for the wash. Considering that our money is worth more than American right now,it doesn't take a genius to see that we are getting gouged daily in this country. I realize that there are extra shipping costs involved to ship to Canada, but how can you justify $21.99 a bottle compared to $10.99 a bottle regular price? Plus factor in the 4% tax in Michigan compared to our lovely hst. Don't get me wrong,I live in a border city, but I rarely ever shop in the States, but this is ridiculous.

I found Meguiars Hot Wheels in the States for $4, $12 at CTC, so yah, I'd say we're getting ripped off, but what else is new? lol

That's why they call Canada "Upper US" (Up your a$$)

Don't forget boys they have at a minimum 10x the buying power.

It's even more particularly disturbing when our dollar is worth more than theirs. But Snakebite is right it is simply a case of economics, America has roughly 300 million people we have hmmmm 32-36 million. However I do not think that 300 million are buying vehicle cleaning products.

Doesn't seem odd to me at all....It's an American product, and unlike Canada, the U.S. sells products to their own, cheaper.

I think its true all round on most products
example: local Firestone dealer quoted me $2600 for my chrome bullit rims and 4 Firestone wide ovals.

American Muscle charge me $1314 for pretty much the same thing..and they had to ship 'em to me.

You need to shop over there more often. EVERYTHING is much cheaper. My wife goes over there about once a month for groceries. It's a crime how much we pay compared to them.

As for why? Yes buying power is a factor, but mostly it's the obcene amount of taxes we have to pay.
