Engine pics after cleaning.

Took a few shots of the engine after I cleaned it all up today getting ready for the cruise in nights. Also did some leather cleaning with Mothers cleaner and Protectant. First time I have used Mother's and I thought I would try it out. Seems to work good for detailing and cleaning.

Edit:I compressed the pics too much and no detail. I will add one below.

engine cleaning

What do you use to clean the engine bay? I don't like those ones where you have to spray the engine down with water...is that the only option?

Other than spraying and wiping I thnk that is it.

Once in spring and once before I put it away I run it down to the spray&wash in town. I go over the engine bay with the soap and then the rinse. I always leave the car running and am careful of where I spray. The dirty parts are always on the sides and can spray away at those. I let that do it's thing and than bring it home and dry/clean with a towel.

Car has never stalled doing this, Most of our engines are closed or have so much plastic covers over evrything it does not hurt them anymore. I am sure if you really dowsed the engine in some particular spots you may have problems. Good luck.

engine cleaning

The last 2 times I used the DIY engine shampoo stuff I fried the alternators (on my stang and taurus) when I washed the engine off. This happened even though I covered certain parts with a towel...guess I didn't do a good enough job. So after $600 to repair both cars, I'm afraid to take a chance with my new Powermaster alt.
