Need help cleaning aluminum wheels

I used some Meguiars Hot Wheels Aluminum wheel cleaner on the polished aluminum wheels and now they don't seem to have the shine they had when the car was new. The bottle said it was safe for polished aluminum, now they look as though they have light scratches on the surface. I enclosed a pic of the wheel,it's the one that comes with the 2012 pony package.

No experience in this department. I would try a few coats of polish followed by a good wax

I just used the same wheel cleaner today and had the same result. I guess I'll polish and wax them too.

It does not hurt to polish a few times before you apply the wax
