Need Your Opinions

Found this car on a Youtube Video, when I was searching for appearance mods for mine. This car has everything I was planning to put on mine like the hood scoop, wing, side scoops, and side window louvers. The thing is, I really thought I would stick with my stock rims, but I really like the ones on this car. They are CS40 wheels by Shelby, and the only options I found on Shelby's website are 20x9 or 20x10. I think they look amazing against the Grabber Blue.

So what's your opinion......Do you think these wheels look as good as I think they do, or should I just stick with the stockers?:?

VAEM 12-21-2011 05:48 PM

:) Looks like someone has been bit by the mod bug!

I'm a fan of the Shelby's. 20 x 9 's in the front and 20 x 10 's in the rear - staggered is the way to go.

1low03gt 12-21-2011 06:53 PM

Those rims are sick! I think they look sweet on mustangs from '05 to current!! :tup

Vapor Shelby 12-21-2011 07:05 PM

The CS40's look great!

ChadStang 12-21-2011 10:27 PM

I like the stockers but it looks like I might be outnumbered.... again. lol.

SNAKEBITE 12-22-2011 05:06 PM

I prefer the Razors but that's just me. What would the tire/rim package cost?

CRASH 12-22-2011 07:24 PM

I like the side scoops, as far as the other mods, if ya like them, do it now cuz it will be the way YOU want NOW.:tup

The rims alone are $1895. US, and then add the tires.

SNAKEBITE 12-23-2011 02:41 PM

3500.00 or more it looks like

I'm not real sure about the hood scoop.....just doesn't look right for some reason?

SNAKEBITE 12-24-2011 05:09 AM

I would only put it on if it was functional

CRASH 12-24-2011 05:24 AM

Not feelin that hood scoop DublDee, I think the cowl hood rocks on that car. There's a few rags that inundate the reader with advertising but give a great look at body trim options. Try 5.0 Mustang & Super Fords or Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords.:tup

DublDee 12-24-2011 09:23 AM

Yeah i really think the car looks better without the scoop, so that's a no go, but I do want to change the rear spoiler to that 4 pedestal wing, I think that looks sweet. I also want the side window louvers, but not sure which style yet. Thanks for the info CRASH!

ChadStang 12-24-2011 11:16 PM

^ the pedestal spoiler is much nicer for sure. You don't have a backup camera do you?

No I don't. I heard that pedestal spoiler won't work with the backup camera. Kinda glad I don't have one, because I'm getting that spoiler for sure.

ChadStang 12-25-2011 10:54 AM

^ good stuff. That is right that it wouldn't have worked.

SNAKEBITE 12-26-2011 06:44 AM

besides who the hell needs a camera for a 17ft car right lol

ChadStang 12-26-2011 07:56 PM

^ hopefully his wife doesn't take it and back into something. Sorry I had to. lol

DublDee 12-26-2011 07:58 PM

I was thinking it, but thought maybe it was a bit too soon????

Believe it or not, some people around here actually have a sense of humour and don't get all bent and twisted when someone makes a joke. lol I think the comment would be taken the right way with no offense.

DublDee 12-27-2011 09:01 AM

Yeah I wasn't too worried about SNAKEBITE getting real upset about that comment. And he did kinda walk into it, didnt he?

SNAKEBITE 12-27-2011 09:16 AM

I haven't been mad since 1997 lol

If someone tees it up, you gotta take out the driver and go for the green. :tup

SNAKEBITE 12-27-2011 03:07 PM

or whack it outa the park lol

Apocalypse Pony 12-27-2011 05:54 PM

Usually around here it ends up sliced and in the rough. lol

SNAKEBITE 12-28-2011 02:46 PM

I hate golf bwah

Apocalypse Pony 12-28-2011 03:21 PM

I hear that. It's more fun driving the cart around than playing.

SNAKEBITE 12-28-2011 08:27 PM

or wiping out with the cart ala Jackass tehehehe

Ronnie06GT 12-29-2011 03:08 PM

Yeah, I hate golf too....I only played 112 rounds last summer.....yeah I hate golf..:lol...maybe I'm just a little obsessive about the game...:lol

SNAKEBITE 12-29-2011 05:16 PM

SNAKEBITE 12-29-2011 11:07 PM

No cart then no thanks

SNAKEBITE 12-31-2011 12:40 AM

Even with a cart I lasted only 9 holes and that was 10 years ago, how sad

1979svo 01-05-2012 09:11 AM

The hood scoop is ugly IMO. Love the wheels. Side scoops look a little out of place and I would take the window scoops over the louvers if it was my car, but it's not so do what makes you happy. Grabber blue is a nice colour and makes the little stuff really stand out.

I am def with you on the hood scoop....I thought I would like a scoop, but it looks really out of place! The side scoops are a take it or leave it kinda thing for me, but the side window louvers will be Roush ones I think. The 4 pedestal rear wing is a must on any of the 10-12 Stangs in my opinion. Thanks for all the input guys. I appreciate it!

On a side note, I'm still not sure on the wheels, but I'm kinda liking the wheels on that Grabber Blue Richard Petty Mustang...Thoughts???

SNAKEBITE 01-06-2012 07:18 PM

pics of the Petty wheels

I don't mind the hood scoop, I find it looks better in person. As for the wheels I still like your stockers better.
