Thanks. I just applied the new Meguire's and does it look nice. I will stick with it as I am happy with the end result. Does this mean I should not put the Classic Gold over top of the nxt Generation Meguire's? Is the Classic synthetic

the Classic is probably a carnuba (read the label)

plus it'll no doubt be compatible because it's from the same company

might want to surf the MacGuires site...see what they say about combos

NXGHOST Apr 30, 2005 10:41 AM

Yes they are compatible. Lay down the NXT then the Carnauba.

You're in good company. Now get on your back and start shining the underside of the car. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

I would have responded sooner but I just came in from putting a coat of the Classic, damm it looks good. 9 coats in 2 1/2 weeks. No more until thursday, market night. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: Called a buddy to come fetch me for a trip to Home Depot. I would not want to get the car dusty :cry2:

From years of owning black cars I found its best to stick within the brand whichever brand you pick. I have tried lots of different brands and combinations some cheap some expensive (not $10000). It appeared that if I used brand A polish and brand B wax there would be problems with haze or lasting time etc... Even the wash soap seem to make a difference.
From wash all the way to wax, I use meguiars(now nxt) my personal choice mostly because in the end it looks good, not to expensive and is easy to get.

I agree somewhat but especially on Black you don't want a product that wears off after 2 washes or two weeks. Many consumer products aim for the best "POP", but lack durability and protection.

Yeh with the 03' Black F-150 that I own, I find its a pain in the but to keep looking its best... I went and tryed the Meguiar's Colour X,, I find that it does not last,, I think I will try the NXT and then apply the Gold Class and see what I like... In the past I have always used Mothers products.. on my car stages 1 2 and 3 .. I may go back to them....
