Thanks guys.. my only issue is that everywhere I go someone wants to race me. I drove down to Napanee this afternoon and a kid in a RAM Hemi pulled up beside me and wanted to go. When I wouldn't he called me all kinds of things at the next light to get me to go. I'm a geezer.. it's a V6.. gees..

At my age I went for the open air. The zoom zoom left me years ago. I just love puddling along sniffing the air.

A also love the plain clean lines. No chrome.. easy to look after, good on gas.

Ahh... You have nothing to prove to him. He should go find a civic with a weed whacker engine to race.

wow some kids... i know i've been guilty of naggin people into racing when i was younger.. but your stang is a nice cruiser. not a racer lol. i agree with zeb lol. he shoulda just found a ricer civic, leave the stangs alone. :tup

Nice and clean, I love the color. I almost bought the convert version of the 500 but I like the roofline on our style to much. Enjoy and like you I like putting around and smelling the roses

Car looks great. If you have the cash you should consider a clear bra (3M) for the front end, that way you can show more of your car.

haha no kidding, i think it's the same out here too. i'm starting to think buying my civic was the best thing ever. everyone wants to race it, but i just kinda sit there. next thing you know, there's a cop sitting at the next light watching you laugh ur head off as he stops the other guy.

imo, just ignore the kids wanting to race, they'll clue in when the police pull them over and you point and laugh! :tup

When I bought the car (and you'd hate me if you knew how much I DIDN'T pay for it) the dealer threw in the bra and that damn black tonneau cover.... so I just use it.. it was free... I'm cheap, what can I say and I confess I sorta like the look.

It's now my Steeda-stang... all the other parts I've added are all from Steeda.

haha i haven't been called that in a long time. PPCLI is where my papers were supposed to end up, but who knows now with the budget cuts... might have to wait a bit longer :banghead: (i'm guessing that's what you were refurring too lol)

mmmmmm steeda parts on a stang are wicked, they do some pretty amazing work, and no cheap china made knock offs :tup

Yes to number 1. The nice thing about Steeda stangs is you rarely see any prowling the streets and they do have quality parts:tup

yea it's almost too bad that you never see them. i've seen tons of roush stangs, gt500's and saleen's. hell i've even seen a y2k cobra R in person.. but never a steeda stang :( 11.2s @ 127mph quarter mile, and a 1.0g lateral grip... i'd kill for those kinda numbers

I've often thought about turning my GT into a Steeda Q400 clone.One of my fav's from Steeda.And like you stated,you hardly see a Steeda mustang if at all.

DO IT!! lol almost forgot you already have the Q400 hood. you should deff get the splitter. i'm personally iffy on the wing. but the splitter for sure! plus it's removeable for those days you just feel like going without :tup haha if you dont do it, i will :P

I just order more stuff from Steeda... exhaust, some other performance stuff.. Man it doesn't take long to go through a pile of money with them. BUT, my toy will get better and better. None of it will be on the outside however... hmmmm. won't even see my efforts.

Everytime i walk in the garage,and see my GT the way it is,i change my mind.I have always been that guy that always believes in the good old saying,less is more.In the case of the '99 to '04,it is so true,even though i like Roush's,Saleens,Steeda's,Bullitt's,oh wait,that one has less LOL....ects....
One day i might still do it.Especially since there is tons of silver '99+ stangs with either Bullitt rims,or FR500 rims in any shade with spoiler delete,and Mach 1 chin spoiler,and grille delete.:bleh:
Plus i don't mind the Steeda spoiler,it flows with the splitter,and cowl hood.

haha i'm the same way.. i look at my stang and i just cant seem to decide if i want a mach 1 front end, termi, saleen.. ect. it's hard to find something different, but yet something that you'll be happy with. like i LOVE the termi front end.. but everyone friggin has it now.. :( and the saleen is cool, but just iffy. lol
