This year the Okanagan Mustang Association will be holding its 9th Annual Show and Shine in conjunction with Watkins Ford in Vernon, British Columbia. This year will mark Watkins 100th Anniversary as the oldest Ford Dealership in Canada. The Show and Shine will be held on Sunday, 13 September, 2015 from 1000 AM to 2:00 PM.

Trophies are being sponsored this year by Watkins Ford. There will be a 50/50 draw and raffle prizes donated by various car care sponsors such as Autoglym, Surf City, Mothers and hopefully a few others. The proceeds from the 50/50 and the raffle go towards two bursaries to support two students in the Okanagan College Vehicle Trades Program.

September is normally a fairly warm month with many show vehicles still on the road. Watkins Ford address is 4602 27 Street, Vernon, B.C.

The dealership will be open for washroom facilities and a food vendor will be on site. There are also food vendors nearby.

Pre-registration is $15.00 or $20.00 on the day of the show. Site will be open at 0830 to allow for registration and detailing. Our Show and Shine normally has between 100-125 vehicles. Hope to see you there.

Simply click on the All Ford Show link and follow the directions. The Okanagan Valley is a wonderful setting in the early fall. There are also 13-14 hotels and motels in the Vernon area.

Weather should be good for next week. Usually the show and shine is held in July in Kelowna. This year the date was suggestively changed by Watkin Motors and Ford of Canada to coincide with Watkins's official anniversary date.

Cooler weather though in the mid 20's would be better than 4 months of 38-40 Celsius. Weather this summer has been like a hot girl in a string bikini.
