I know at our show we hire out a volunteer group for security and there is plent of signage that states no bikes etc and also says to keep your paws off the cars.

Your funny....but speaking of reading I was tasked with getting the dessert for a Masonic Installation. So I went to the local DQ for an ice cream cake. The young lady (maybe 17) asked we what I wanted written on the cake and she had me write on the specifics on a form. She then went over my spelling which was correct grilling me that Worshipful should be spelled Whorshipful. This should give you a clue why kids should stay in school and spelling bee's should be the norm like when I was in school. Oops how dare I suggest that we revert back to the old way of doing things. Spank me now!

They don't need to be smart anymore, now that there's spell check on their computers!

I agree with the second and third to last posts. Spellcheck, calculators allowed in math tests and if I am right kids cannot fail anymore. That is a dis-service to the little darlings.

True that, snakebite. A couple of the smartest guys I know were held back a grade when we were in grade school. The experience certainly taught them a lesson.
