Scratch repair concerns
 

A deep hairline scratch showed up on the pony,it looks as if it is right down to the metal. As you can imagine this is causing me fits,mostly from not knowing how it happened. I'm wondering if it can be taken to any body shop or if I'm better off going to the dealership.(not where I bought it,not happy with their body shop) What kind of cost can I expect? It's about an inch long,hairline with a couple surrounding it that look as though just scratched the clearcoat. tried Meguiars scratch x and the results were minimal

awww....that sucks! I bought the Ford paint touch up pen as "preventative maintenance" You know, if you buy it you'll never need to use it. I know it wouldn't be a good fix...maybe only useful as a bare metal cover up in an inconspicuous spot. Let us know how you make out....curious myself at what something like that would cost.

Damn, that sucks. I don't know of any good body shops in Windsor. Windsor is Mustang country though - I'm sure one of our members will chime in soon with some help.

Where's it at? Maybe touchup paint would do the trick - those pens are slick, nicer than the old brush.

It's on the left rear quarter above the wheel.Maybe I'll give the pen a try,if it doesn't look good I'll take it in to get fixed

That really sucks! The best way to have it fixed is threw a body shop. If your not to picky,then the touch pen/stick from Ford will work.

That's the whole problem,anything less than perfect will bug me to no end
