I actually used to fix this exact type of thing at FORD Talbotville ( retired now). New cars do get scratched, chipped and repaired. If it's just the clearcoat, try the Meguiars again. I use this and have had great results. Make sure you do it in the shade and don't get it too hot ( swirls, halos). You may have to build up the coats with it so multiple coats might work. If your into the paint, try the touch-up as others have already said, but if your really picky( I am too) you'll likely need to repaint. It can be blown-in ( spotted in) if the painter is good enough ( experienced) , but if he/she isn't, you'll see it. Matching the colour can be tough too, but not impossible. I'm guessing its on your 2012, so that's a good thing. The paint hasn't had time to fade. But I've seen repairs done in the plant with new cars and new paint where the colour was off. But I painted for years and something like that might not be noticeable to the average person. I just used Maguiars on my 2009 and the wife just about flipped watching. I had to sand ( borrowed sandpaper from past job) with extremely fine sandpaper ( Diamond something or other) and flattened it out first. A spot about the size of a toonie. Then the Meguairs. You can't see it now. But before trying anything I've said about sanding ( IF you do) make sure you know what your doing. Not a job for the fainthearted. Hope this helps.

The thing that really frosts my *** is there's a good chance that this happened at the dealership when I had it in to get the tint fixed.I made the mistake of not doing a walkaround before taking the car and lo and behold the next day I noticed it. Live and learn.

Yep....I had a fender scratched (not on my Stang) from valet parking in Toronto. Didn't notice it until 2 hours later after I stopped at the rest area. Cost me $250 to get it repainted.

I've done walkarounds when I first get rental cars to make sure they don't try to stick me with anything, then I make them come out when I return it so nothing mysteriously appears after I'm gone. Good advice all around.
