once you find out let me know...the Cobra uses the same bulbs for the fog as Gt/Mach and same headlamp...I would love to go with 4....in no hurry.

The eurolites lasted me 2 yrs with no problem on the 99...but I know what you mean. :tup

Got this in my email a bit ago form Sylvania.

Hi Greg,
The automotive lamp replacement guide indicates that your Mustang uses the 899 for the fog light. I can't recommend that you use anything different than what the owners manual states. It is possible that the 893ST wouldn't last that long due to different operating voltages and wattage between the two bulb types.

I had asked why they are not making a fog for us and as you can see they did not address the question. Here was my email to them.

Message from greg:
Hi, I see that you do not have a fog light replacement for a newer mustang part#899. I have a 2003 Mustang.
I have heard that if I use part #893st they will only last me 2 months approx.
Can I safely use these in my fogs? Curious why no 977 for mustangs and other cars? I already use your 9007st in the headlamps. Awaiting your response. Thank you.

Please respond to this request via email.

My quest continues.... "Quest for fog's", film at 11.00 :)

I remember reading a while back that putting a higher output bulb in the fogs will melt the housing... can't take the extra heat and they will burn out quick.

Can't find where I read this but take it for what it's worth.

MUSTANG GUY 03-03-2005 01:07 AM

Im going to be picking up the super white fog light bulbs for my car in the next month or earlier, If any of you guys want a set let me know and I will see if I can get more than one.

I think I paid something like $25-35 last year.

They didnt melt or effect the fog light lense or anything although once one burnt out after about 2 months, but the first pair I had lasted me the whole summer.
