Ford Technical Service Bulletin 11-14 Mustangs

I have had an annoying squeak in the front end when going over bumps that made the suspension compress more than usual like speed bumps, driveway approaches, etc. This started last summer. I took the car to the dealer twice and they could not find the source of the noise. Also this noise only happens when it's warmer than 10 or 15 degrees so once fall hit, you couldn't hear it at all. Then about a week ago I was made aware that there is a technical service bulletin for the front lower control arms describing exactly what my problem was. Once I had this, I went back to the dealer and asked them to look at the car again and sure enough once the mechanic placed their microphones on the control arms and we went for a drive he was able to confirm that it was the Hydro Bushings in both control arms. These ended up being replaced under the warranty.

So if you have the same noise you should hit the dealership with this info and get them replaced. I am attaching the TSB 13-9-3 for your reading pleasure.
