2002 dash
i installed the guage cluster from a 2002 roush mustang into my v6 and it wouldnt start. my question is, if i want to replace the guage cluster do i have to take it to the dealer to have it reprogrammed?
the second question is what do the mustang keys communicate with? the dash or the computer?

Form what i read, and understand, you need to swap circuit boards. You just pull your cluster out and take it apart, then install the gauge part from the Roush cluster to your electronics.
If you do not do it this way,you will then need to go to the dealer to have the pats set up/programmed.

thanks. i gave it a try and it worked great. the only thing is my car right now is a v6 and on the speedometer it only goes to 200kms but the one from the roush goes to 240kms. so my speeds are a little off. but i assume all that will change once i get the tranny and motor from the roush in there. thanks again.

The only way the speedometer can be fixed is threw the ecu by a hand held tuner, chip,or a speedcal. There is a sensor that is connected to the trans, not a speedo gear.
Since you are doing this swap,i am assuming you are using the Roush ECU?If so,then you will be alright.
