That really sucks to hear Gary. Hope you get this settled!
Your build is really coming together, just sucks for this hiccup you now encountered!

the insurance adjuster just left and the damage total is $6502.00.it is going in for repair on oct.1st and will take about three weeks they tell me.they promised me it will be as good as new with zero marks on the car.i have decided that i now have the time to install the engine in the car before the bodywork gets done.they said they will completely wrap the motor and engine compartment to prevent overspray.i am looking forward to the finished product.

well the car is painted and is being polished.they still have to install all the black trim pieces around doors etc but it turned out very nice.i took off the window scoops and replaced them with the shr see through window louvers that actually replace the window glass itself.the scoops looked great but made it a bit of a pita to get out of driveways etc because of the blindspot.also the scoops did not function for brake cooling or any other form of useful purpose and it always bothered me a little that they were fake.my hood scoop is functional for cooling the engine and feeding it cool intake air.will post some pics when i get it back from the shop.

Glad to hear the paint turned out ok. I've been thinking about those 1/4 windows as well. The covers are nice but backing out of angle parking is terrible with them.

I love the looks of my quarter window covers, but yeah the visibility thing has got me debating wether to take them off or not.
