need some serious help
although compleatly different, my auto cav had just done the same thing (reason i bought the mustang) tranny was fubarred, the little clutch plates were paper thin, parts that were supposed to have .050 clearences i could stick my finger in
$1000 later the cav moves again and i own a mustang

for the RPM's shooting up i'd think it'd be a sensor problem or computer problem..it's getting a false reading from a sensor, rev's to compensate?? i'm not sure... i'd find a nice Ford tech and ask him...
