opinion on what to do..
JUst wanted to see what you all think. I have a decent injury claim coming in within the near future and i'm making decent money at the mill, so i wanna park the stang and just go crazy. if anyone say's just go buy a GT i'll smack you.. if i wanted a 2v GT i would have when i bought the eclipse.
here's my ideas:
1) keep it a V6, stroke it out to 4.3L, and put an intercooled M112 on it.
2) Again keep it a V6, stroke it out to 4.3L, and go with a TMA turbo kit
3) go with a new pushrod 5L swap like the 94-95 GT had stock (cobra set-up, and obviously not stock. but mainly for looks)
4) go with an FRPP crate 4v 4.6L stroke it to 5L, and go with a blower
5)go with an FRPP 5.4L crate with blower (personal fav right now)
I do know what's involved, done my fair bit of research on engine swaps. the technical work is within my skill set, it's just time consuming.. and wallet too..:laughhard no matter what.. i';m going with an 8.8 IRS rear end frame work is already under way for stiffening it up as well as fuel system and a few other things needed for sure on any of these options
my starting budget is 20k, but this will also be an ongoing thing , as i'm prepairing for sudden expenses.

Ok, im not looking for a smack but if you have $20 G's go and get an extra 8 G's maybe sell your car or what not and buy a 04 Cobra...
Once you get that...you playing with the big wiggs!
You can produce over 1000 RWHP!
If this is a bad idea or just what you don't wanna do then drop a 4.6 stroke it and Kenne bell it!

My two cents are if you are in the spending bracket of under 10 keep the car and do what you can. Over 15 sell the puppy and buy something newer with an 8 and do what you can with the mods. Over 15 definetly sell her and invest in something that will give you satifaction for the next 5+ yrs. I realize it all comes down to dollars and cents so my advice is invest in something that you will be happy with for a few years in the future. IDK just my thoughts.

Best idea in this thread yet. If you have over 20g's to play with this should be a no brainer. Stereos are easy to swap, entire drivetrains on the other hand are alot of work, and take even longer to get all the bugs out. I've found if you spend too much time working on them, you get bored of them.
