Apocalypse Pony 11-06-2010 05:54 AM

Welcome to the site dude - where about's in Canada are you? There's plenty of go fast parts available from a couple of different spots - don't really have anything specific for you, but there's lots to do. ha ha ha Better get your wallet open if you want to put every single thing you can on to make it go faster and look good! Welcome again! Good spot to start would be the V6 build thread VAEM's got going with the project he's got going for his daughter.https://www.cmoc.ca/general-mustang-tech-chat-46/vaems-sn95-264ci-4-3l-v6-mustang-build-13633/

marceltam 11-06-2010 11:36 AM

ty im from new brunswick bassically i want nice looking cheapest rims tires air intake body kit and any cheap stuff for hp and burn outs wtv lol any ideas?

SNAKEBITE 11-06-2010 03:05 PM

Good luck with your build up. Try a CAI tune gears exhaust s/c turbo nitrous stroked/bore etc. The last 4 things are pricey but hey if you have the need for speed you need to spend.

Apocalypse Pony 11-06-2010 05:27 PM

"Speed is just a question of money - how fast do you want to go?" or something like that was a quote from Mad Max I think. True dat.

Crafty 11-06-2010 08:59 PM

honestly bro, i had the exact same thing, 2000 V6, with a 5spd. great little car. never the fastest thing but it can be done. question is: do you want to spend all that coin on a V6? is it cheaper to just buy a gt? that's all up to you. as for your main question, in my opinion in order of importance:
-do your maintainance! are the plugs good? gear oil? leaking oil? that kinda stuff. no point in having go fast mods if your engine is poo lol
- Drop it (do the whole suspension, not just springs)
- caster/camber plates
- wheels/tires
- rear diff gears (3.73 for manual//4.10 for auto)
- short throw shifter // j-mod valve body (auto)
- full exhaust

then we possibly get into the big boy toys. nitrous, supercharger, or my personal fav... TURBO!! (no bias there... ) just make sure you do your research, there are a lot of good places to look, and i'm sure most of us will be more than willing to answer any questions

good luck with the car. i miss mine more and more every day

marceltam 11-06-2010 09:00 PM

CAI Cold air intake ie K&N
Gears ie 3:73, 4:10 4:56 etc
Turbo ie turbonetics
Supercharger ie X-Charger
Exhaust ie FlowMaster, MagnaFlow, GT takeoff
Lowering springs ie Eibach, Steeda Ford Racing
Throttle Body spacer ie BBK
Tint windows ie for looks

Thats a good start and remember google is a great friend for research purposes.:tup

http://www.americanmuscle.com/eibach-shocks-7904v8.html

best one here imo.
http://www.americanmuscle.com/xcal2-...r-oil-kit.html

i'd start with those to be honest, wheels/tires are totally personal choice kinda thing, and if you NEED to do something to the exterior, get your windows tinted, a mach 1 chin spoiler, maybe do cobra lights?

1low03gt 11-06-2010 10:23 PM

Welcome aboard.Good luck with your build. These guys seem to have some of the stuff covered for you.I will add that if you have a 5 speed,a shorty shifter from B&M,Hurst,Steeda,Pro5.0,MGW will add a nice feel. Also subframe connectors from Steeda,Kenny Brown,Maximum Motorsports will add a nice solid feel to the car as a whole.:tup

Welcome to CMOC.ca! Another V6 build ... this is awesome. Where abouts in Canada do you live? There are some Speedshops in the GTA that cater to V6 Mustangs.

Tons of choices dude, a lot comes down to personal choice. You'll likely get four or five different suggestions/favorites for muffs alone - like SNAKEBITE said, Gooogle is your friend, as well as Youtube, and forums like this of course. :tup

If I can I will give you a piece of advice as I am old/older. Do not look to the future but 1 day at a time and before you know it your studies will be over. Take it from me I would not steer you wrong:chacha::tup

Apocalypse Pony 11-08-2010 05:31 AM

Head down Crafty, keep plodding for the finish line, do the best you can every day and accept that not every day is going to be perfect. Like SNAKEBITE says, time will pass faster than you imagine and I doubt he would send you in the wrong direction.

marceltam - dude - you're not screwing around with the shopping list. If you're looking to trim some fat off the list and get it down to two bills, I'd say dump the stuff that makes the car look good and go with the stuff that makes the car go fast, if that's what you're looking for. (looking at your first post I'm guessing that's it)

-PLOTNIK- 11-08-2010 06:12 AM

welcome to cmoc are you getting this stuff from American muscle, if you are you will need to add there shipping rates unless you have an American address your sending it to.

marceltam 11-08-2010 01:58 PM

apocalypse ty for the help i know its probly the same thing but not sure so anyways i dont really wanna go faster but i want 2 make a burn out easy and to impress people the speed dont matter so for easy and great burn out do i need the same as upgrading speed if so yes thats what i want speed but i really like to dress the under the hood and interior and body kits are my favorite

marceltam 11-08-2010 01:59 PM

oh and thanks to all the helpers btw sorry bout that and my typing im french can u tell lol

That's bang on dude! Just as the guy told him he had a set of Dunlops for 'em.

marceltam 11-09-2010 02:38 AM

hey can some of u check this turbo on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...TQ:MOTORS:1123 and tell me if it would work and is it worth the price and what else would i need to make this thing happen please and tyvm oh and my mustang is automatic if i didnt say that yet lol

Apocalypse Pony 11-09-2010 04:32 AM

Turbo for less than $1000 bucks? I'm no expert, but that sounds a little too good to be true, I'd be reading the small print on that one, it's got rip-off written all over it, and the fact it's in California doesn't make me warm and fuzzy either. I can see money being paid, and no delivery of parts, or a delivery of a bunch of pipes, whatever. If you don't wanna go faster, why bother with the turbo anyway? You can probably do a decent burnout and impress people right now - hold brake, hit gas, sit and smoke!!! You're flip flopping between speed and looks dude, it's tough to give you an answer when you keep changing the question.

marceltam 11-09-2010 04:41 AM

wouldnt a turbo make a bigger and better burn out tho?im sorry if im messing up the questions but like i said i have no clue what i want as i know nothing about cars but i really want everything more hp more speed better looks and number 1 burn outss but i dont wanna spend alot so that people start saying why not just buy a gt instead cause this is my car and i dont wanna sell it again

SNAKEBITE 11-09-2010 12:45 PM

Pour bleach on tires and make big smoke, chief

marceltam 11-09-2010 03:24 PM

lol
lol

VAEM 11-09-2010 05:27 PM

I would highly recommend that you put your money back in your wallet. Do a bit of research. Learn about your car. Make a plan on exactly what you want and THEN start buying parts. It appears a bit by your thread that you're all over the map - that's a sure fire way to get ripped off or throw away your money. Just my 2 cents.

marceltam 11-09-2010 06:24 PM

thats why im on here to know what to buy i can spend 10years ill still be all over the map i dont know anything about cars so im asking all of u and i dont wanna wait i want it now why would i wait and be at the same position im in now?

Blackheart4355 11-09-2010 06:52 PM

OK,

I think what's being said is to take the time, do research and decide what you want and then buy the right parts the first time.

Apocalypse Pony 11-09-2010 07:26 PM

Sounds like if you want burnouts you should get one of those line lock deals, lock up the front end brakes and like SNAKEBITE said, make big smoke. Problem solved, see you in the cloud, or the tire store!!!!

CandyAppleRed 11-10-2010 12:26 AM

Check out Dasilva Racing. They have a lot of products for Mustangs.

marceltam 11-10-2010 11:48 PM

VAEM 11-11-2010 10:42 AM

7.5 for V6's. 8.8 for V8's.
