problem with pulleys in drive belt

I just bought a '98 Mustang and two of the pulleys on the drive belt seem to need new bearings because the whole belt shifts slightly from side to side as the engine is running. the belt tension seems to be fine but two of the pulleys can be moved when you touch them. is this a normal problem for Mustangs? or just a general issue with all cars that are 11 years old?

Any ideas?
Thanks
NjH

I havent had any isues like that with my sixer.. it might just be one of those age things.. also depends on how the previous owners treated the car.

That is very odd, not a normal problem. Did you check the bolt to make sure they were tight?
What pulleys are moving on you? Crank, water pump, alt, power steering, idler, AC...?

I have what might be a pulley problem, the noise coming from the engine compartment sounds like this (an actual recording) -

zSHARE - Mustang.mp3

Please confirm, deny, suggest...

You can remove your pulleys and grease the bearings yourself....the little rubber cap just pops off and you can then just repack bearing grease in there.
