Thanks Ray..I really wanted to know how late I can wait to register. There was some implied message that there is a limited entry. Also, I wish there was more to do at these events. Some of us hope you don't end up driving so far just for a glorified show & shine.

If you email Peter Bulcock - Event Co-Chair at president@gvma.org he should be able to give you the information you seek regarding registration limits. The last international (30th) I went to in Billings, Montana was quite the event besides the Show and Shine activities after market vendors where on site. The Saturday Evening Mustang Parade in Downtown Billings was also a huge event with great crowds. There was also a Sunday drag race event. I did not go to the drag race but took in the tour of the Custer Battlefield 1 hour south of Billings. There was also time to go shopping and take in various sites around Billings. We had a great time and met many Mustang owners from all over Canada and the USA.

Yep that was my 1st IMM. It was a blast. Then there was Wpg…boring! I will give him a quick e mail and see what is happening.
Thanks

Sorry,Carrol Shelby could not make it this time.

Ray Spencer 01-24-2014 08:40 AM

Unfortunately Carroll Shelby will not be making it to any Mustang events, but we do have his memory.

I bet if Shelby thought he could get away with it, he would have had his body frozen so they could roll him out and charge people $100 for a picture at Mustang events. Dude never missed the opportunity to make a buck by putting his name on something.

Ray Spencer 01-25-2014 09:07 AM

If you read Carroll Shelby's original bio he was a chicken farmer but had an interest in fast cars as a hobby. Eventually his hobby turned into a career and business. I would seriously have to ask myself after my racing days were over if I would like to make a buck selling my name to a product or shovel chicken poop. I think I would rather promote the race car industry and Shelby Mustangs even in death.

Someones gotta shovel the chicken poop. I'm surprised Shelby never went back to his roots and produced a high performance line of Shelby Farm Tractors and garden implements. I'd even consider buying a limited edition, numbered and signed Shelby Poop Shovel for $500. The Shelby name would have to appear at least three times on the product to make it worth it though, plus the signature. Then I could do my part to support the Shelby legacy and race car industry as I use my Shelby Poop Shovel to clean up after my dog in the backyard.

I take it your not a Carroll Shelby fan.
