Medicine Hat Ok but don't go to Red Deer.... they have vicious beavers.. they'll eat your tires.

That's hilarious. Proof positive that it's fun to chase after beaver, but not all of them are fun to actually catch. :lol

I don't think they should kill a beaver because of a dog dying. Am I alone in this thinking?

Agreed - if the shoe was on the other foot, and the dog killed the beaver, don't think anyone would be writing articles on killing the dog. The article actually nails it - you can't fault the beaver for reacting against a threat, and if the owner had better control of thier animal, we wouldn't be having this discussion, and they wouldn't be looking for a new dog. :D

Now don't everyone get all upset now.... the last news report we saw they decided to simply trap the beavers and relocate the family.

It turns out it's a mom beaver defending her new pups.

All will be Ok...
