Good Points Dubldee...it might be prudent with the weather out West here that we have an alternate date in any event.
Father's day weekend is the 15th-16th... or the week prior is the 8th 9th which could work or the week following Father's Day.is the 22nd 23rd..which could work as a road trip as usually on Father's day folks gather at home. The weekend after the 22nd of course is the July 1st weekend so that is out.

Let's get an idea from those of us on the Forum and then the word... Again ..does anyone have any contacts in Red Deer at any Ford dealership??

I'm fine with any of the dates I have mentioned..Also do we want to make this a one day event/ A Saturday or Sunday??...or a weekender or a friday Night meet and greet with the S&S and fun events on Saturday??

I don't have any contacts in the Red Deer area, but surely we have some locals on here from Red Deer, that could possibly investigate some options for us??

I really hope we can make this happen this year! There's always lots of talk about it, but then it usually never happens.

Yeah it's tough to find a time and place that works for everyone but hopefully it happens. I'll try my best.

Talking Road Trip

What if all of us here figured out what would work best..\1. A weekender or one day...
2.If so a Sat or Sun..
3.Do we want to meet at a special location..ie Drumheller Museum...a lake setting somewhere..a road course for the day..ie Edmonton...or just a meet and greet at a location in a Major City..

Let's get some feed back...then let's just pick a date and commit to it and we can have a blast and agreat get together!

Well for me personally I think a one day meet would be best, probably on a Saturday, that way for anyone who has a bit of traveling can spend the night if they need to, and have Sunday to travel home. As for where, it really doesn't matter to me if it's a special location, or whatever, but would be kinda neat if we could schedule it around a local show and shine, and have our own little area for CMOC, but that's just a thought, like I said it doesn't really matter.
What we need is someone that will head this up and maybe make some calls about finding a location to do this. Any volunteers?

Right on Dubldee..also do we need to do this "Show" at a local that is midway between the majority of members??..
Or do the folks on here just want to pick a nice venue and just meet there??
Maybe let's have a role call over the next few days of where folks are located and where they would prefer the meet..Who wants to organize..????

Well not surprising, nobody wants to volunteer to organize this, which i understand everybody has busy work schedules and so on, but we are not asking for someone to spend countless hours organizing a huge show and shine, we just need someone locally to make initial contact with a business or property manager to see if we can hold a small show & shine in their parking lot. Possibly a Ford dealer with extra lot space, or an auto parts depot with a large parking lot, or where ever really. This will also give them some added exposure and perspective customers. (which we can casually mention when making contact with them). As far as which city this should be held in, I think we need to first get a realistic idea of who is interested in showing up to this. For example if we plan it for say Red Deer, and nobody south of there shows up, it doesn't make sense for the rest of us to drive that far when somewhere like Edmonton would have been more cetralized for the attending group.(again this is just an example, and I'm ok if we did decide to do it in Red Deer).
So once more, please reply to this thread as to whether you would be interested in attending something like this, or not. Then we can make a decision as to where would be the best place, and at that time we can try to get a volunteer to HELP set it up.
