West meet after hibernation anyone?
 

I was thinking that maybe some ppl from out west here wouldn't mind gettin together for a weekend cruise (even ppl from out east if they really want :tongue: ) I was thinking the march spring break and since there are a few ppl from the lower mainland and a bunch from alberta, why not meet in the middle? So I was thinking about the Banff/jasper area and cruise the rockies for a day or two?

just want to gauge some interest... :biggrin:

hell ya , id be down for this. im sure the wife an kids would love go there in the spring /summer.

well that's what I was thinking.. it's so nice out there in the spring, plenty of places for pictures, and the roads are great, most are newly repaved this year. I just dont know if people woulds want to go camping for one night, or just have a day trip with a group meal and then go do your own thing? Glad to see there's some interest. I'll probably end up taking my girlfriend with me, but families would be more than welcome too.:tup I don't see a lot of racing going on.. cops are usually pretty busy in the park.. lol:LOL:

racing? (:rolleyes:), :laughhard , we could get a few stangs from here im sure. we would probably make it an overnight thing .stay in the hotels as im not keen on camping outdoors in a tent with some big bear wanting to make me his bitch. lmao

only three sofar? i know it's still early, but really people :rolleyes: we need some more westies! :tongue: i'm gunna get started on some ideas for places to go in the area, that way I can toss it out to the group at a decent time so we can all decide on what we want to do and see, and when it gets closer to good weather we'll decide on a date. i'm still thinking the march spring break, in case people want to bring family to come along. don't want kids missin too much school... lol

lmao , ill get ahold of a few guys with stangs here in red deer and blackfalds and see who wants to go. there might be 6 or 7 stangs then who ever else want to go for a boot. hell they dont even have to have a stang. drive what ya got.im not sure if the edmonton guys want to go but they always go on long cruises :tup

lol well i'm gettin two road trips on the go for myself, there's this one in the stang if we all decide to go. and then in june i'm heading out east on my bike to Valcartier and gagetown to see some old friends. lol maybe if some ppl out east have a meet i might drop by :biggrin: but yea me and my gf are already looking forward to the mustang trip. should be fun :tup

Late April sounds good to me, I really want to do that whole drive from Jasper right down to Glacier Park, Montana. I know that the "Going to Sun Highway" some times doesn't open until June. BB

yea man we could always use more people :P from the sounds of things on my end i'm still going. only minor damage to the stang... lol I think I took the worst of it:rolleyes: but i'll deff be better, so will the stang.

if my claim comes through (which prob will happen eventually:wiggle: ) i'll have it all fixed up, get out of dept, and maybe get that lowering kit and roush stuff i've always wanted :tup

k so guys i'm getting more done on planning this meet, are we all agreed ob the end of april? something like the 25th and 26th?

other thing is, if we decide on a date, the other thing i'm looking into, is group things to do, like tours and a little closer to april we'll prob want to put our names in for certain places..

The end of March is not good for me as I will be in the Dominican. April would be better for the simple reason that the majority of the friggin snow and ice should be gone.

April is a better time as then the snow is gone for sure through the mountains.

If your looking to meet in banff i am in ,i live in calgary but i have never cruised the rockies with my topdown yet,If you guys are serious message me and its a very good chance i will be in.But i cant cruise until after the snow is gone i spent way to much on my paint this summer to drive until the streets are swept.

I could come minus the Shelby. The thought of a rock chipped front end sends shivers down the spine.:banghead:

i like the may june idea alot better the last thing we all need a few nice paint chips for the start of the season.

End of May would be good. June is the start of motorhome season. Nothing like having vacation buggys clogging up the highways.
