Aaaaargh, back to square one. Apparently Ford wants the dealer to do ANOTHER balance before they will replace tires. Patience is a virtue .......

Hi there,
I have good years on my 2013 with Brembo package. They obviously had an issue with the pirelli's because they changed them to Goodyear.

What style of Goodyear. I'm glad they fixed the problem, but honestly I think they cheaped out if they switched you to Goodyears from Pirelli's. :?:?

I'd much rather have Goodyears that run true than Pirellis that vibrate.

That depends on which model of Goodyears got installed. A lot of their high end performance stuff is imported from Germany, and is quite good. Pirelli seems to be very hit and miss with their performance tires.

cheers
Ed

So what model of Goodyear did you get?

Yeah that's true....I know a friend of mine replaced his Pirelli tires with the Goodyear F1's last year, and was very disappointed, but I guess it depends on what your wanting out of them.

A little confusion DublDee. Robcanada says he got Goodyears on his 2013. I have the shakey Pirellis on my 2012. I'd also like to know what model Goodyear they switched to.

^^^ When is your next balancing scheduled for?

Woops, Sorry! I'm quite surprised about the issues with the Pirelli's, it sounds like this is somewhat of a common problem. Mine are still in great shape, as they only have 8,000 kms on them, but I'm actually switching to something better in the Spring. Nitto NT05 are the likely candidate, but I'm still researching. I'm only looking for a great summer tire with superior dry grip. I doubt my car will see much for wet road conditions, unless I get caught off guard.
