what likes boost more 4.6 or 5.0 ?

yes i know if you plug up your cat you will make ALOT of boost, but where will that get you ? why don't you strop breathing out and just breathe in ? what you think will happen ? all i wanted to know is how much will the factory engine will handle without changing the heads or anithing like that.

OK. Roots, twin screw, centrifugal or turbo? Each one is different in terms of how much boost the engine will take. A roots or a twin screw are killers down low. Instant on. A centrifugal or turbo only sees peak power for a millisecond and spools slower so it's a softer hit. I popped my 4.6L at 437 rwhp and 435 rwt at 13.5 pounds. So the only thing I know for sure, that at 13.5 pounds of boost, with a Generation 5 M112 roots blower, it will put the rods out.
