There's no doubt a custom tune for the fuel and mods you want to use nets you the best bang for the buck. Also, if you can, consider a dyno tune as the final step. A good tuner can probably get you an additional 5 to 10 hp's over the written custom tunes. At least that was my experience....better fuel mileage, more power and no more error codes that you can sometimes get with a custom tuner.

I'm not sure I understand how a dyno tune on top of the custom tune would help. What would a dyno tune due that the custom tune didn't

thnaks

On the dyno a good tuner can fine tune things like timing and air/fuel through the rpm range specific to your car giving you the most you can get out of your specific setup. Don't get me wrong, custom tunes are very good but if you want the most from your setup a dyno tune can do it. I was getting a lot of error codes after my custom tune went in so I went to the dyno. I had to add some timing at the lower rpm range, lower and smooth out the air/fuel and the codes went away. Got a 9 hp increase and noticed a 1 to 2 mpg improvement since then.
