In the US the K and N doesnt void the warranty---its law.

In Caanda I had a K and N on my Chev 3.6 DOHC and GM refused warranty after my MAS fried. I calleed K and N in the USA and they said "yah, the law is different".

My 2001 GT rag top came with a long K and N ram and I plan on keeping it ...

Hoiwever I went to start it last week after charging my battery full . It cranked over fast but refused to start. I bought this at the end of last summer.

Amy ideas anyone??

thanks much for any help

I don't think the filter would have anything to do with the GT not starting.

It's not uncommon for an over oiled filter to cause damage to the maf sensor which may explain why they didn't warranty it for you. As far as your car not staring, I can't really see it being filter related.

Thanks all.
I realize that the filter isn't the issue on this mustang not starting. I was just wondering because it ran great when I put it away for the winter. Since its my first mustang I eas just curious if anyone had any suggestions.

Same thing happened to me on my 95 GT and it was the fuel pump. Turn the key on an stick your head under the back of the car and see if you can hear it running. Mine was really noisy the summer before I parked it so I knew that was what it was.
