To be honest I was second guessing myself buying performance parts from them a little since they got a reputation for being more "low end".
Not sure how deserved it is but I'm sure we've all felt it at some point.

Here is my new setup with the wheels & rubber + caliper covers!
Great weekend for a cruise that's for sure!!
I have thought that myself but the items in that catalogue aren't on the CT website. I've found that there a lot of products that don't make it onto the website. It surprises me that such a big national retailer doesn't promote the full range of their products with the website. Since discovering the louvers I'll be checking with them when I see something being sold out of the US as when I got the order from Cdn Tire there was no shipping charge.

I love going through the American Muscle site because I think they have the most extensive online selection but most of the time the shipping charges scare the hell out of me. I spent $1100.00 there in February and the shipping cost was $258.00 US. When the order arrived they sent it in four separate lots when they could have easily put it in one four cubic foot box and I would have paid a lot less. I think that because American buyers don't pay for shipping that we pay inflated shipping prices so that the Yankee purchases can be sent to them for free. Anyway that's my rant for the day about those guys. The next time you are in Cdn Tire just take a look through their performance catalogue. You might be pleasantly surprised but like everywhere they are not always the least expensive.

How much did you pay for your tires? I'm about to replace the Pirellis that came on mine and after only getting 42,000 kms on them they won't be going back on.

Might want to watch posting pics with your plate clearly visible, bad enough if something happens and you got parts on there that aren't factory, don't want to list all the stuff you're adding and then give them clear evidence on the internet. My buddy tried to go the honest route and his insurance company said the only reason he was installing the parts was to street race. Yet, if you buy a 650hp GT500, you're OK. Insurance companies are messed up man, they barely make any money, don't know how they stay in business.

The Michelins were $1,300 + tax so like $1,500 including install
Most reviews I read were very positive and they are supposed to have good tread life.

Ya I had about the same cost for truck freight & duty fees to get my wheels north of the border.
I'll definitely check out that catalogue and see what's available!
You're right it is very weird that they don't position themselves as a performance parts supplier.
*shrugs*
