The car's engine runs on E85 for emissions purposes and has several modifications that Mr. Pelmar designed (mostly electronics, it seems) allowing it to run much more efficiently -- to the tune of 80 miles per gallon -- while producing 400 horsepower and 500 lb-ft of torque. He admits that he could squeeze more MPGs out if he dialed back the power some, but where's the fun in that? 80 MPG and 400 horses in a Fox body seems like a completely reasonable compromise
Well wounder how that guy managed it?

Where? I wouldn't mind reading the actual article or seeing the test results.

Only link I could find says "claimed" MPG and nothing tested...

I am surprised on how much gas your cars use. I used to have a 89 5.0 coupe with 300k's and in the summer I could get 425kms to a tank and 375 in the winter. The car was a 5spd stock gears.

Such as under drive pulleys, CAI and gears ( Depending on if you drive hwy or in city)

The less the motor has to work the better.
Many mods add to the millage but an equal number reduce the mileage.
