cam help

I am building a mild 306 I have a cam that was reccomened to me it is a crane powermax 2030 I am putting it in a carbed app it says on the specs made for computer run engnes is this going to work for my car it is an 82 gt

First,are you going to be running a roller block from year models 1985 to 1995?
That is what it is designed for.Other then that you will be find to run it.Instead of the computer working the magic,it will be you,or a tuner working the magic with the carb.

yeah it is an 88 roller block that i am using in my 82 gt has anyone heard of this cam ?

I've never heard of it.The only cams i new that everyone wanted in their 5.0L's were the Ford racing alphabet cams.So that is going back a few years.
