e-brake question

The short T e-brake cable broke on my 95 GT. All of the spring tension is no undone. The fox setup should be the same. Not sure how much to rewind the spring back up. I also don't have another mustang around to look at. I wound it up so there is basically no space between the coils and put the pin in....man than isn't easy! Can someone have a look at theres and see what it looks like. If I have it one turn too many would that be bad?

I just pulled my cables off the other day, to remove the caliper, no visible space between the coils.

And I hear you when you say not an easy job. I surveyed the situation, and said NO WAY, cable is coming off some other way. Used a C clamp to hold the brake on and released the cable, then pulled the end with some pliers.
