EFI to carb
but I want to know what it will take to put a carb on a efi mustang. I got a list I just want to see if I am missing anything.
Carb + aircleaner
Intake Manifold.
Fuel line + pump and pickup (have to change it out of the tank)
Distributor and ignition.
also I believe I have to splice some wires.I know there was a guide but some how it got taken off the net.
I have sitting in my possesion a a9p a new wiring harness mass air meter.
IF I BOLTED ALL THOSE IN would the car run? it is a harness from a 89 car.
the previous owner also cut ou a bunch of the emissions equipment.
I am just sick of messing with the EFI.

Why do you want to go carb?
EFI is easy, fuel efficient and well, default equipment on your car.
Seems silly to go against the technology.
Sorry, don't have an answer to your question as I have never gone in reverse like that

I have no clue what is going on if I have a vacuum leak or what.
over half the vacuum lines for the emissions got cut out by the original ower and the car always ran rich.

I bought an 86 converted back to carb... Heres my problem, the works done, i bought it off a pretty decent builder, problem is Im only 23 and a mechanical engineer, not a mechanic! I could use some information in the hose replacement area, basically guys, my car fires, runs beauty (needs a tune up), but the wires are there waiting to be searched out, lines replaced after sitting, etc...besides fuel, rad, vacuum and heater hoses, is there any other i should consider, and im really looking for a FULL kit, that would be Fu$kin AWESOME~! anyways happy summer everyone, and rip those stangs up while the suns shinnin'
