To do or not to do: Stock or Mod's?
#12
Unless it's a trailer queen, your car would be more fun and probably more valuable (tastefully) modified. Who can complain about more power, better brakes, bigger wheels?! If you change your mind, you can easily sell the parts on websites like this one.
As long as nothing is permanent, you've got nothing to lose!

My advice would be to mod, BUT do it tastefully. That means no chrome and suttle in my books.
Go nuts and have fun!

Do what ever you want, its your car. Decide what thecar will be used for, Do you want to go concours or drive it.
When I got my 68 flop top I spent a ton on original till one day I said lets drive this thing.
I started with an AOD, then a 331, then rear disks, power windows, seats from a 93 done in leather, LED tail lights, Shelby Roll bar,ten spoke wheels, remote entry and trunk plus many, many items to numerous to mention.
On the outside at a quick glance, the vehicle looks basicly stock till you look close, it's then the mods become evident.
I kept all the parts I removed but what for, I have seats, engine, tranny, interior etc,etc all that stuff does is take up room.
Nothing more exhiliarating than tooling around in a classic.
Unless the car is a very rare model there is not much keeping you from personalising it.
