rare model, limited production, stay away from too many mods, or, if you do any, keep the old peice's, and make sure its a bolt on item only.
What can be bolted on, can always be removed and stock put back into place. Now, if you've got a car in MINT shape, rare, old, and worth a tonn in stock form, and all you plan to do is show it, and store it, drive a couple times a year at most, and have it as an investment, then no, mods would be dumb! Besides that, if you plan to drive the car, then do as you please and make it your own........ have fun and enjoy the car. Thats what it was built for. Remeber car's wern't built to put up on a petistal. They were ment to be driven. |

When I got my 68 flop top I spent a ton on original till one day I said lets drive this thing. I started with an AOD, then a 331, then rear disks, power windows, seats from a 93 done in leather, LED tail lights, Shelby Roll bar,ten spoke wheels, remote entry and trunk plus many, many items to numerous to mention. On the outside at a quick glance, the vehicle looks basicly stock till you look close, it's then the mods become evident. I kept all the parts I removed but what for, I have seats, engine, tranny, interior etc,etc all that stuff does is take up room. Nothing more exhiliarating than tooling around in a classic.
