With my cams my rpm range is a tad higher compared to stock. For a stock 4.6L engine, the 4.10's are "great", for a cammed 4.6L they are "good", the 4.30's will bring back that "great" with a cammed 4.6L, and would keep it in the proper rpm range to play or race.
I'm shifting into fourth not to far past the traps, and i would think that the 4.30's would bring my GT closer to the top of 3rd gear crossing the traps, which is ideal.
I had my GT dyno tune not to long ago, maybe a month ago.
She made hp. Previous was 286.XX,and now it's 298......buuuuut....
I was having some issues holding idle after the first initial start of every run threwout that saturday we were out racing, and it got worse threw the day. After i got home, and washed the GT, i went to start it to park it in the garage, and it would not hold idle at all unless i kept my foot on the pedal. So sunday morning i went to solve the issue, and with past expirience with inlet tubes coming loose, causing the vehicle to stall, (which happens to my F 150 a couple of times a year due to the clamps coming loose).... that is the first place i went to check. Sure enough my clamps on my JLT were loose at the throttle body, and at the mass air, and lightly snug at the other two clamps.
So i tighten them up, and it held idle again. Maybe this could have caused some issues with the air fuel that day..... Don't know?!
All i know is i will go back out there to give it another shot LOL.
I do plan on getting a wideband air fuel ratio gauge, it's almost a must these days. My only issue is that my money tree gave me all it had this summer ...... but it will happen. Always seem to find the funds somewhere LOL.

Yeah, sorry, i had a brain fart LMAO!!
It's a never ending game i tell you.
I know myself, i would enjoy the 4.30's a tad more. My cams don't really start working til above 3000 rpm or so. She's got some bottom end, but not like i think it should, or want.
There is a few guys i have talked with that moved to the 4.30's with the cammed 4.6L's, and they have no regrets thus far. So that just proves to me that my feeling, and thinking is right.
