Tried out AutoX today In my Shelby! OMG it was so much fun! I was wondering what my new suspension setup was going to be like so I signed up for the day! It was a blast, Handled great with very little body roll! Wish I had sticky tires!
Here's a pic and a video! https://www.cmoc.ca/attachment.php?a...ine=1340482416 https://www.cmoc.ca/attachment.php?a...ine=1340482416 https://www.cmoc.ca/attachment.php?a...ine=1340482416 |

Here's a pic and a video! Next year you should get another set of rims and a set of V710's or NT01's, both very sticky tires! |
That is very cool!!!

Looks like a blast. I'd love to try with my car one day.

I could not do that as I would get lost, seriously. Looks like fun though.

The one thing I don't know is if your particular "500" is allowed to run in autoslalom by SCCA rules. Something about high potential of rollover..... |

It's the same as anything, practice makes ...well not exactly perfect but at least I usually stay on course now! The more seat time you get, the better you get. Clubs (including ours) usually offer an autoslalom school for new people. It really is a blast!

Alan,
Do you say that because of the rag top vert or the GT500? I don't know of any Mustangs that are excluded from SCCA autoslalom competition. Some convertibles are not allowed on some race tracks unless they have a roll cage (as is the case with our club), but I think it depends on the track and insurance provider for the event. |
