Tried out AutoX today In my Shelby! OMG it was so much fun! I was wondering what my new suspension setup was going to be like so I signed up for the day! It was a blast, Handled great with very little body roll! Wish I had sticky tires!
Here's a pic and a video!

Autocross is indeed addictive! More of the members here should give it a try!
Next year you should get another set of rims and a set of V710's or NT01's, both very sticky tires!

Looks like a blast. I'd love to try with my car one day.

I could not do that as I would get lost, seriously. Looks like fun though.

Funny you said that! I did get lost on my 3rd try! The chalk had worn off the track i was the only DNF for that run... Lol
Then again i was the only v-8 and i beat the bmw's time!

It's the same as anything, practice makes ...well not exactly perfect but at least I usually stay on course now! The more seat time you get, the better you get. Clubs (including ours) usually offer an autoslalom school for new people. It really is a blast!

The one thing I don't know is if your particular "500" is allowed to run in autoslalom by SCCA rules. Something about high potential of rollover.....

Alan,
Do you say that because of the rag top vert or the GT500?

No, I say that because from what I understand and read in the forums Snakebite's "500" is not a GT500!

I don't know of any Mustangs that are excluded from SCCA autoslalom competition. Some convertibles are not allowed on some race tracks unless they have a roll cage (as is the case with our club), but I think it depends on the track and insurance provider for the event.
