Better the carpeting than the entire cable like my Sundance... The cable frayed and the pedal was stuck all the way down. It's still dangerous either way.

haha Im surprised its just Cobras. Its happened to me in my GT in a parking lot once (thankfully almost empty lot) where I had to slam on my brakes and shut my car off. Now I pull my carpet all the way back every couple times I get in.

Luckily I haven't experienced that problem...yet?

What kills me is there have been a lot of people complaining for a few years about this. However it wasn't until an official Govt. body like the NHTSA gets involved and Ford rolls over faster than a two bit ho

Bring it on FORD

i had it four times in my cobra, got rid of the floor mats and some packing tape right below it, and it never happened again. and yes the packing tape easily comes off again.
