happened to me in my 88, a few times, pedal gets caught up in the floor mats, now i pull them back when ever i get in.

i dont know if you remember the video where the guy in the black cobra loses it, and gose into the other side of the road and hits that land rover, but thats what happened to him.. i wonder if he could get a free car outta the deal? loL!

If you watch the vid hes off the gas long before he hits the car in the turning lane..we debated this on another forum...

when it happens the gas peddle does not return..trust me...I was at the track when it happened and the carpet holds the peddle from coming back, therefore WOT.

My '93 4 Cyl did that.

It was a 5 speed though so I quickly Popped it into Neutral and reached down and pulled the mats out and got my foot behind the gas peddle .

Scared the Sh*t outt me though.
