I was just reading on another forum that a fellow in Texas was told from his Dealer that his R that is on order was cancelled by Ford after 6 months. Needless to say he is quite pissed, especially since he sold 3K code 60's Mustang to be able to afford it. He is now trying to get a non-R before he calls a lawyer. Everyone thinks the Dealer is backing out because it was sold at MSRP (6 months ago) and now they are getting 30 to 40K ADM. It's really getting ridiculous in the US, I'm gonna wait a year or so and see what's up with the GT350s and then decide if I will get one.

I'd love a gt350, but unless you're going to track it or cover it up in your garage, what's the point. A regular old gt or even ecoboost can get you into a lot of trouble as it is. Heck my lowly 300 hp power gets me to a big ticket really fast as it is!:shakeit:

Bah, its the '06 GT500 all over again, like one guy said, started out the same way with all the additional dealer markup nonsense, and it didn't take long before they were easy to get at MSRP or less. Incidentally def, a 1980 Lada can get you into trouble, so how come no ones driving one!! lol (And by no means am I drawing a comparison between the GT350 and the GT, no more so than between the Lada and a GT, so don't anyone even go there. ) All I'm saying is that you shouldn't have to justify running a car on the track to want to own it, any more than say the guys with Raptors should be jumping things to own one. The GT350 is a car you buy because you WANT it, not because you need it. lol

Its not difficult in Canada to get a GT350 at MSRP.
a R is a different story.

Most of these cars are toys, need is relative.
No hot rod makes sense. Cars are money losers in every sense
of the word, bad investments, being a car guy is not a good money move.
But smiles per miles can't be calculated :)

Bwah ha ha ha, latest thing I read on the American forums was dealers buying GT350's from other dealers, and then jacking up the dealer markup ($10k + extra on your purchase price anyone??) and re-selling them. Boy, am I glad to live in Canada, where MSRP deals are still out there.

Actually true, but they are selling quick, my dealer only has 6 left for 2016
and 2016 is not here yet, I suspect they will be harder to get soon.
Will any Canadian dealers add an ADM, I guess we will see.
I believe their are two GT350's in Ontario now,
4 here in the maritimes, that I know of.

I've seen 6 GT350s at dealerships of late. All sold. I have not seen an R yet. I'd really like to get a look at one though.
