VS

Right out of the gate, I agree. Looks like the rear spoiler sits a little higher too.

more details here

I do like the active exhaust with dual tips as well as the new 12inch LCD display. Magna ride option included with the performance pack. Some upgrades to the 5.0 also to be announced.

Looks far too much like a 200 or 300 or a dodge avenger to me. NOT a fan of rounded cars at all. The front valiance is trying to hard to be japan like, the back end looks like a 4th gen.

Really not impressed at all, but that's me.

Not sure if I like the front end yet, have to see it in person.
The front is lower and likely better balanced.
The back end is directly from the GT350 along with some of the upgrades.
Which will be quite good.
I prefer 6 speed, but the 10 speed is suppose to be world class.
The reported upgrades to engine should be significant
with direct injection and more HP - TQ.

The first pics I saw in the yellow didn't do it for me at all. After seeing the proper images from Ford, I don't mind it. I really don't find the front end to be drastically different and to be honest with the exception of the GT350, I've never really care for the front end. The rear of the current car looks great and he 2018 to me looks even better. I'm really excited to see what improvements we will see to combat the new Camaro.

Interesting that the magnaride and active exhaust/quad exhaust tips have migrated from the GT350, along with some styling cues, but sounds like the driver has no control over the active exhaust, it just kicks in depending on throttle position.

Also interesting Ford is dropping the V6 as an engine option, but will have 10 different wheels to choose from. Orange shows better the yellow, I didn't like the S550 when it came out, but obviously it grew on me, this may be the same with the frowny face headlights.

One video I watched, the guy from ford said you can control the exhaust
with switch, on the car they were showing it was disabled to always be loud.

The Mustang model after 2014 was just to European looking for me especially for a North American Muscle Car. And it did take a while for the 2010-2014 to grown on me. Even though the 2015 has been out now for over 2 years it still does not draw me to it.

I honestly don't think it looks that much different. Just me I guess.

Love the quad exhaust. The 2015+ style has grown on me, the back end is just fantastic but I still think so many of them just look too plain.
