Hum,a set of cams,a drop in K&N,and a tune from a very good friend, then the usual bolt ons like mid pipe, cat back, and gears, she runs 13.1's all day at 106 average mph with the average of 1.8 60 foots on a set of low hard *** Eibach spotline springs. With the proper suspension, and the right tire to drop my 60 foots, with that mph,i'm good for mid 12's.Not bad if you ask me for a very limited bolt on/budget modular powered GT that is full weight!
If Ford thought they screwed up,i don't understand why they keep pushing it forward then LOL!!
Not here to argue, but times change, and times move forward.
When you spend MILLIONS on development you have to push/keep what you've built. You can just throw it away because of a mistake or wrong choice. Many car Manuf. have had mistakes and kept move'n it. Ex.. FORD Diesel 6.0L complete junk but it stayed in the trucks for years.

Your E.T. and MPH are fine but REMEMBER a 302 with that head flow and intake and cam size would do the same or BETTER even at that weight.

Please don't estimate E.Ts from MPH you're MPH will drop once you hook that car better and it'll run 12.7 to 12.9@104.5-105 at best.
Don't get me wrong its not bad but again a 302 with out do it every time.

Lets not bring up how much more advanced the computer in your car is to the old EEC-IV there's probably 15-20hp it that alone. what about better trans gear ratio's and the 4.10-4.30 gears you run.

Until a mod rev's over 8000rpm it will have NO advantage over a pushrod mod.

You're a funny guy. $2000 into my mod motor and I made 419rwhp on a safe tune. Best part is, I don't need to worry about my block splitting in half, ever. The 4.6 is a great motor. I take it you've never owned a car with one because if you had you wouldn't be firing off at the mouth like that.

I've had both, I'll take the 4.6 over the 5.0 any day.
