Auction description:
We bought this car new about 2 months ago and have absolutely loved it. Car drove and handled at just an unbelievable level. We were on our way home a few weeks ago and were ran off the road by a drunk driver. The car is mechanically solid, still starts without any issues. The main damage is cosmetic along with damage to the auxiliary cooler in front of the radiator and the suspension damage on the drivers side.

This car would make a great donor car for a street rod or pro touring project or you can rebuild it and have a boss at a much lower price tag. Motor, transmission, and rear axle are all perfect as well as the interior(minus the headliner)

Please don't hesitate to call or email if you have any further questions or would like to set up a time to see the car.

Hmmmm don't think I would spend the money on that wreck. For what they are asking you could put a large down payment on another 2012 Boss 302. Makes one wonder why the owner's insurance company did not repair this Mustang?

That didn't take long ... poor Boss. :bleh:

cheers

Sad sight indeed.

herbz 08-05-2011 12:59 PM

That sucks. They might as well just take the engine out and sell it on its own.

That's exactly what I first thought. Frame is probably twisted at least a little. It may never be quite right. But might be a good fixer upper for a young person.

I'm guessing due to the massive structural damage that it has. After replacing the roof and straightening the car, as well as replacing all damaged parts, you're looking at likely the cost of the car lol.

Side note.....WANT!! Would be sick to have a Boss 302 in my New Edge :)

1low03gt 08-05-2011 09:02 PM

That is one down!!!!!

ChadStang 08-05-2011 10:43 PM

This one makes me shed a tear but I wouldn't shell out 20k for it.

Darkhorse 08-06-2011 07:32 AM

Time for someone to boss a fox!

SNAKEBITE 08-06-2011 03:06 PM

no chance I would spend 20 k for a motor

That would be cool. 69 or 70 fastback but make it like a resto mod Boss 302 with alot of the stying such as wheels and stuff from the new car.

SNAKEBITE 11-10-2011 09:36 AM

agreed 100% One thing that has kept me from buying 60's stuff is from talking to owners as they say they don't stop, turn etc. I would definitely resto-mod the car myself

I like looking at old cars, but driving them just isn't like driving a new one though. A resto mod is the best of both worlds. I remember seeing a project a guy took on in MM&FF magazine. He transplanted a 67 Fastback body onto the Chassis of an 03 Cobra. It took alot of fab work but it looked great and performed like a new car.

SNAKEBITE 11-11-2011 12:59 AM

that would be a ton of work no doubt but as you said the best of all worlds. If the older car is staying in the city I can see keeping it stock but otherwise no thanks. I know some will say they do not have problems on the long/longer trips but I would always have the breakdown worry in the back of my mind.

I agree as far as reliability but my main concern is safety. How many of these classics are rolling on 4 wheel drum brakes, manual steering, lap belts and a big block under the hood. Sounds like a recipe for disaster to me

SNAKEBITE 11-12-2011 10:46 PM

in the old days the drums were fine as all the cars had them so they all stopped equally BAD

ChadStang 11-12-2011 10:51 PM

^ haha that's about it.

SNAKEBITE 11-13-2011 04:09 PM

I should say that's what the old-timers tell me. I only have experience with rear drums
