17 inch rims...need 2 know asap.

my 351 mustang runs 13.3 in the 1/4 with 15" rims on 9" tires.....would 9" wide 17's in the back with 275/40/17 hook at the track?

or will i just spin badly?

thanks

a larger rim might make you slower.
from what i have heard is it would be like going from a 4:10 gear down to a 3:73.

But like bones said, just get a drag radial or slicks, and you will be all set!

How were your 60's foot times?

high 1.9 sixy foots.

even with 17 inch rims the tire diameter is still 26" there just more low profile.

but i was planning on getting 275/40/17 mickey thompson et streets for the rear and some nitto 555 fronts in a 235 tire

so would it really slow me down? because i do run 4.10 gears. i was mostly wondering if the low profiles would still hook.

btw the rims i am looking into are the ROH snypers hopefully they look good on a notch.....does anyone have pics of that perhaps?
