1996 3.8L V6 Mustang Exhaust Pipe Diameter?

The pics are here
Exhaust
I cut the y pipe which is a 2 " pipe and installed the pacesetter h-pipe which is 2.25. It slid right over the original 2" pipe
From the H pipe back is a 2003 take-off from a GT. That set up is 2.25 pipes.
The whole job cost less than 200 including all parts. The labour was mine.
Great results very happy.

New
Alright so all this talk about a V6 exhaust has be wondering. I have a 94 V6 with only a single exhaust. Would I be better to just get a muffler shop to make me up a dual exhaust? Or do I have to buy an adapter kit, like the one from Pacesetter?

I put a magnaflow on it and kept the single..still sounds really good..100 times better than the stock exhaust...but duel should be too hard...all the space for duel are under there...all you have to do is find maybe a wrecked stang that had duel and take the right side cat back off..pretty sure you would just need to buy an x pipe or whatever thats called and weld it in and hang it.. or you could go to crappy tire and buy a whole cat back but they charge you like 800 or 1200 hundred or something like that.
