1st issue with the new ride

I was a little stumped when I picked up the car at the dealer as to why to rear side markers were not lit up with the rest of the lights,but the sales man insisted they must be just reflectors....
So I got home and started to read the owners manual cover to cover, on page 67 it mentions how to replace the bulbs in these side markers, and talks how to open the unit, which is pretty stupid, use a screwdriver at the rear end of the reflector and slide the unit forward toward the wheel... the point where you place the screwdriver is also quite angled, so you really must be careful to not scratch the paint,idiot designers if you ask me....
Over to page 228 I find out a breakdown of fuse feeds and amperage, so now my buddy's over and says hey Mario, the rear license plate is not on! that's a ticket right there, I find out that fuse #22 which is a 15 amp deal is in the passenger footwell.
We locate the fuse box, pull out fuse 22 and it's not blown, I switched it around with the next one down, also a 15 amp fuse that feeds the right side headlight and it works telling me it's NOT the fuse that is blown, maybe the pin behind the fuse box has popped out, anyways, I'm off to the selling dealer to have this looked at before I get pulled over by some cool cop and gets handed a ticket for the unlit rear plate.
I'll keep you guys posted on this

The dealer should fix the problem and the sales and service personnel should be directed to the owner's manual. Obviously they do not know their product. Typical.

Salesmen are useless and most don't know $hit. Years ago I went to buy an Econoline with windows all around, the salesman said they don't make that, to him an Econoline was a work truck with all metal body, so I had to take him to a poster in the showroom that showed all models and they did make one with windows. I left and bought my truck elsewhere. Dumbass.

You guys sure are hard on salesman - glad I'm not one. Two ways you can look at this, yah it sucks that your new car has a blown fuse, but happens. Take it back and let them look at it, and maybe mention to the salesman that the rear plate light was burnt out and that he was wrong about the reflector deal. Getting all bent out of shape like he did it on purpose will just put people on the defensive and less likely to be any help. Best of luck, keep the updates coming.

Apocalypse Pony,I was not in the least bent out of shape,I found it a little condescending when a salesman INSISTS he's right and I'm wrong! I would completely respect "It's not my field of expertise,and I could be wrong, but it might be just a reflector" as opposed to "That does not light up,I'm telling you, it's a reflector " so I did not take it personal in the least, I just sort of smiled it off and left it at that. This guy was NOT at my dealership, some other dealership that happens to be a lot closer to my house.
I ended up going to my selling dealer, which by the way, is top notch, I mean their customer service is honestly a definite cut above. I get there, get greeted by the salesman ( Dave) we discuss the issue at hand,hands me a complementary full breakfast redeemable card, ( excellent breakfast by the way) and then drives the car in himself...
My original appointment was to have the passenger door panel looked at/replaced due to a 4" prominent scratch in the upper portion of the panel between the latch and lock post. This rear plate issue/marker lights was secondary to the original concern, and just coincided I already had an appointment, so it was more like "kill 2 birds with one stone"
Someone at the factory omitted to plug the male/female connectors to the plate/marker lights... that was easy! They had this guy there that does repairs to plastic panels... I actually watched as this guy heated the plastic with some kind of blower, then applied this metal template that had the same pattern as the door panel,pressed it in for 5 seconds, and that was that... 101% perfect and like new!
So I'm pretty satisfied with the work, when they handed me the keys,Dave mentioned that the car was being washed, and I should be ready to go within the next 10 minutes!
Seriously, a very pleasant experience dealing with Holiday Ford.

Curious question, but what's with the credits below any member's name? Im just curious, mine says I have 2784,then I look at Apocalypse Pony and you're like $Rich$ LOL

Glad to hear it, that's the way it should be done. I was a little confused by your statement "when I picked up the car at the dealer" - I naturally thought the dealer and salesman you bought from. Missed that bit later on - my bad. Glad it got taken care of, and a free breakfast never hurt anyone's feelings. No problems man, I'm as much at fault for not making it clearer! By nature, I much rather go with " win/win approaches than being confrontational, so my apology to you.
For the first time since I got the stang, it feels like all systems are a GO.
It really does not take much from a customer's perspective to feel you're appreciated,
personally, I go out of my way to make ALL my customers feel that extra special,and it pays huge dividends.
On another note, the SRT4 seems to be sold, as of last night,a friend of mine brought this guy from his work that has been looking for an SRT4 and we struck a good deal that we are both happy with... Honestly I hate to see the skittle go, but I just don't have the space in my driveway for three autos.
Sometime next week, I need to remove my 19" rims off the stang and put on the new 16" steelies... Lol I know it's going to look weird at first but I'll get used to it... Wondering what the 3" difference in size drop would do, guess it be 3" lower huh?
Soon find out I guess

I find that a fair percentage of salespeople are product deficient and some are just plain dumb. One sales guy had no idea how to drop the soft top on our new Jeep so my wif
e showed him. I will say this guy was by far the worst I have come across as the above situation was the tip of the iceberg and well they ended up firing him. I was his last sale tehehe.
