BFG G-Force Sports

well looking to maybe get these ordered monday, a set of 245/45/17 BFG G-force Sports. our tire guy quoted me $240 per tire taxes in, $960 total ($212 per tire before taxes).
Or i could get the same size in BFG G-force KDW (traditional tread) for $290 taxes in per tire ($252 per tire before taxes).

I don't i need the extra little bit of traction the KDW's provide, so i think with the money i should save, i'm going to put all new bushings, tie-rods, and ball joints on the front end. Anything else i should add in the list to do up front while everything is pulled apart?

And from what i've seen $240 taxes in installed etc etc (Sports), wasn't to bad of a price, i was quoted everywhere else $20-$40 more per tire everywhere else for both sets.

Do you actually need tie rods, bushings and ball joints? What kms and year is your car? The g-force sport would have better treadwear and the tread looks better IMO. Really after having tires done, all you should have to do is take the car to a reputable alignment shop to have a front-end inspection and alignment.

the car is a '96 w/ 166,*** km's, there is a "clunk" noise that comes from my suspension when i turn my wheel, and was told when i bought the car that it'd probably need ball joints soon. (that was in april)
And after hitting that asphalt a couple weeks ago it's worse now. I guess i don't really need tie-rods, but am not sure if the right one might be slightly bent due to the asphalt, but i haven't bothered to get it checked out as i was running ghetto tires and didn't see any indications of uneven wear on the tire, although it does seem to pull harder to the right then it used to.

Bushings i figured weren't expensive to get installed and could probably use them, although i might wait on them as i'd like to drop the car on 1.25"->1.5" lowering springs (nothing lower that would require camber plates, or wreck my tires if i didn't use camber plates)over winter on Mach or Bullitt struts and shocks . And should go with some poly mounts when it gets dropped.

As for the tires the Sports are 340 treadware rated and the KDW's 300 treadware rated. Should the tire shop not be able to do alignments? they are a full service shop with fully certified mechanics that re-build trannies and engines i'd hope they could do an alignment. And they are trustworthy, they're good friends with my dad's bosses, and all their tires come through this shop (which is now a Tirecraft).

Around 160k you probably will need ball joints, possibly tie rods as well. Have it inspected so you know for sure. Bushings are a PITA to do and will cost you a pretty penny, the noise is most likely due to worn sway bar links/sway bar bushings.
