Carburator issue

Where does the wire go to? I bought a 1970 Mustang and the alternator was off. When I reinstalled it I noticed a red wire from electrick choke on carb. Need to know where this get power from.
Also, there is a coolant line that is purposely run a dn supported next to the choke for heat, if I have this do I even need to connect the power?

That coolant line won't be enough to heat up the bi-metallic spring inside the choke. It's electrically charged. If the engineers thought you didn't require the wire, they would never have bothered with it in the first place. Hope this helps.

My apologies, I misunderstood. You will want to connect that wire to a source that is fed 12 volts only when the ignition is turned on. If connected to a constant 12v supply, you would slowly drain your battery over time.
