Looking at the Rousch Cold air intake for 2008 GT. Do all CAI need recalibration?

It seem that with the '05 plus stangs that it is recommened.But to get the full benefits of the CAI,it's not a bad idea to anyways.

 

True dat, tunes are always good. Definitly adds extra life to the car, and I don't know if I've ever found one for the 05-ups that didn't recommend it..

 

Tune it for the win

 

It is always a good idea to tune a car for any type of power modifier. Now you can get away with not having to tune an intake only if the MAF tube diameter does not change from OEM. I believe the Roush requires a tune but am not sure.

 

Dealership installed Roush CAI on mine.....a little more throaty....I would assume they did the tune..the engine light wasn't on....works excellent!!

 

A cold air intake is a system used to bring down the temperature of the air going into a car for the purpose of increasing the power of the internal-combustion engine. If you get one K&N or AEM. for those you do not have to replace the air filter. I think they are about $250.

 

Nicely done - first post even closely related to the thread topic. Do you have one on your Charger, and did you buy it at American Muscle???

 

Some do and some don't. I bought a MAC CAI and found after installation that it needed a tune to delete the check engine light. A tune helps to smooth out the shift points.
