Does everyone get so defensive on negative feedback of Ebay users, parts suppliers or the Ford Mo company?

Nobody is defensive, but to join a forum just to give a shop bad press?

I think telling people what happened is good, you could have gone about it better so that it doesn't come off like you have a vandetta. Being active in the forums then posting your story would have made it much more credible.

Posting my opinion on longtubes and pulleys first would have made my experience with DaSilva more credible? I suppose i shoulda upped my post count too...
I don't know how much more factual i can get.

If you got a negative vibe from my post, it's probably because it's not a positive revue.

Buddy, I don't care about your bad review. I will say again, I think things like this need to be said. I do not shop at DaSilva. Never have, never will.

My opinon was just that if you want to seem more credible, this statement would have been better coming from an active forum member. Don't read into it anymore than that.

I read his thread on Corral, and he's been a member of the GTAMC for a couple years... so what if his first post was a negative one towards a shop. Let him express himself, it's not like he's being unreasonable.

Can't blame the guy for wanting to get the information out there to a LOCAL site. Telling a whole bunch of people from Arizona isn't going to do anything to help future customers of the shop he's had problems with.

That being said, I'm not taking anybodies side in this, just saying my piece.

I agree with 5point.

If the CMOC is the place where you can say what can't be said on the GTAMC...who cares if it's his 1st post or his 500th.

Sorry to hear your luck Try Me.

Hoping she gets fixed and running smooth. :tup

I really did not mean to come off offensive, I was curious if you phoned them up to see why that tune was not working properly.

Ditto for me, no offense intended and or implied.
Even after this much time you should call and let them know whats happened.
Has the engine since been fixed?

Most forums that have sponsors will probably delete negative posts, they pay the bills

I think no matter how good someone or someplace is no one is perfect, we all make mistakes. It's a tough situation being that far from them and having that problem, to bad they could not resolve it.......but it is kind of hard if they didn't know this happened if you didn't contact them.

You have more patience then me

I do sympathize.

Good info to know. everybody makes mistakes and it would be nice if you would let them correct it but you're just too far away
i guess the bottom line is they shouldn't have fudged up that bad in the first place

Asked if i was running 94. I said no, i was using 91 because i wanted a 91 tune. He said i should use 94 to cure the detonation and sent me on my way.
Filled up with 94 - detonation still tremendous from 3K up.
I paid DaSilva $172.oo for :

1. a $172 custom dyno detonation tune;
2. to find out DaSilva could not improve on the mail order tune i got from Modular Depot; and
3. to know my car makes 254rwhp/295tq
Mike

Making an a$$umption here.. your SCT chip is a flip chip with multitunes ...
So.. position #1 is modular depot tune .. and from what I can see is a 91 octane tune.
position #? is DaSilva tune...and appears to be a 94 octane tune.
Dieqo sent you away with a can of octane booster and "use 94 octane" to cure the detonation??????
Why didn't he reburn the tune to reflect your requirement to use 91 when he had it there????

Oh and just for hellery... whats the condition of the plugs?
More hellery.... dunno what difference in gain you expected, with your mods, I wouldn't expect much more than what you got.
